Down Memory Lane with a ‘Road Trip’ theme …

https://shop.azzaworld.com.au/collections/whats-new/products/studio-kit-punta-cana-layout-tool

PUNTA CANA is the AZZA stencil released this month and above you can see the August basket. The A4 Sketch sheet will only be available in the Studio kit. The new colours are beautiful shades: Petroleum and Blue-Grey. As with most AZZA colour releases there are pages, inks, Classic patterned papers and Seasonal patterned papers. The Seasonal patterned papers are the ‘Road Trip’ theme below.

The Texture stencil duo matches the papers:

I have used both of the Texture stencils on my page below using the new Punta Cana stencil.

Page by Lyn Holmes – Western Australia.

I have used the Texture stencil to emboss my paper in the bottom left-hand corner. This gives your paper texture but does not take away from the photos.

To emboss your paper with an embossing stencil you need a Rubber Embossing mat to use with your Cuttlebug or Big Shot. The softer rubber mat allows the paper to be pressed through the Decoration stencil. You also need to decide which texture you would like, the pattern raised or not. This will depend on which side of the Decoration Stencil you place your paper.

I have used the new Alphabet Die SAGE on the page to show you the font. I had a lot of ‘sky’ in one the the photos that I had cut down on my page so decided to use the photo for the letters instead of paper. This way the colours are all the same tone on the page.

I also used the new Cutting die “WORLD” in my layout. Once again I have cut out a smaller image from a photo to use instead of paper.

This is a lovely die as you can use an image from a photo as I have done or either of the 2 dies that come in the set. Use your ‘E-Z Dots’ tape for this, makes it much easier.

These pages by Ros show how lovely the Pearl Makers are on your page. If you use them do remember to leave your page on your work bench overnight for the ‘ink’ to dry.

Anita has used the Linen adhesive sheet on her page above.

Please note with the above stamp/die set, it will only be available towards the end of the month. With the present climate AZZA, like everyone else, has been affected. Some products have had to go on backorder as they are unavailable in Belgium at the moment. Shipping dates have also been a little unpredictable so please bear with us.

Page created by Jennie Banks – Queensland – Australia.

Note how Jennie has used an oval Resin pellet on her page to highlight the smaller photo in the centre of the page. A lovely page showcasing the ‘Road Trip’ themed products. If you would like a mixed pack of Resin pellets get hold of your Consultant as she can organise this for you.

Page by Sue Talbot – New South Wales – Australia.

Lovely page above by Sue Talbot using the Micro stamp SPAIN. I love the double image of the Ladies and the way Sue has highlighted the frills on their dresses.

Page by Deb Byrne – Tasmania – Australia

On the page above Deb has used the Embossing stencil and stamp from the newly released MAGIC themed products. She has also used the COAST set of cutting dies. If you don’t have them, do pop along to the shop and take a look as they are so versatile and can be used with many themes. There is no stamp to go with them, you colour them on with pens, inks and chalks. The seaweed dies can be used on any floral page too.

I love the transparent Resin dots on the page – perfect with any water theme. Deb has created her own patterned paper with the AZZA inks.

I too had a play with the PUNTA CANA stencil and a single photo. I have also used two stamps from the large stamp set. The MAGIC papers are beautiful colours. I have also used the new Petroleum page.

Page created by Lyn Holmes – Western Australia.

There is an August basket that has the MAGIC stamps, dies and papers.

For the stars on my page I used the AZZA Citrine paper but felt it was a little too bright for the page. If this is the case I often tone the colour down by just using an ink pad directly over the decoration or paper, so in this case, I just used my white stamp pad lightly over the stamped image. The little star is off the Christmas Large stamp set I highlighted in my last blog. So as I said, not only to be used at Christmas!

I have also used the new Numbers cutting dies: SAGE.

The AZZA Embossed papers go beautifully with the MAGIC themed papers. I used Violet on my page.

We have previously released Copper and Cherry Circular stickers. This month five (5) more colours became available. They are on smaller sheets and have loads of different sized circles – such fun to play with.

Hilary Hamilton created this amazing card with the new products:

Created by Hilary Hamilton – Victoria – Australia.

Hilary has used the AZZA Glitter which is very fine, as well as Glitter tape, stamps and dies.

My husband and I also managed a short trip down to Margaret River last month as lockdown eased. We enjoyed a few days of Cheese and Wine which fitted in well with the July release of products. I created a double page using the Nairobi stencil:

Page created by Lyn Holmes – Western Australia.

I have used the large set of stamps and the figures:

https://shop.azzaworld.com.au/collections/under-50/products/stamp-set-large-wine-and-cheese?_pos=5&_sid=173beb4b6&_ss=r

On the inside spread I also used the Decoration stencil:

I would like to share with you the lovely Accordion album that our AZZA Consultant in Beaconsfield – Victoria, Mary Iviglia, created with the product she received for the Mail Out last month. It really is beautiful and I love the idea of the F A M I L Y too.

Mary used Resin dots, the AZZA Children’s Games stamps, inks and papers as decoration.

I was browsing Pinterest and came across Laurence’s amazing Nairobi multi-page layout which I would like to show you. I thought it was beautiful. She ‘Opened the windows into her garden’ for us…using Powder Pink and Apple AZZA pages.

Page by L’escrapade – Europe

Laurence has used some of the older AZZA dies for her branches and window.

Decoration by L’escrapade – Europe

Note how she has combined a die cut out and a stamped image.

Above, she has ‘hung’ a little figurine from the branch. Below she has created a beautiful scene for the page – looking through to the page behind. I love the idea of the embossed paper as the ‘brickwork’ around the window.

A layout using the Bali stencil also caught my eye. Sadly I don’t know who created it but it is from AZZA Europe. I like the use of the Glitter tape following the shape of the stencil. AZZA Bali stencil has been used to create this page.

The Home Sweet Home stamp has been used on the page. Note how she has used the one stamp and cut the little plants into individual pots to use on the page. She has placed 3D foam behind them to create texture on the page.

In one of my classes, Susan Salvair created these lovely pages with the ‘Travel’ theme in mind.

Page created by Susan Salvair – Western Australia.

Susan has used the Fiji stencil to create this page. She has combined the use of a stamp and cut out the ‘sign’ from a photo. She completed her page with the two texture stamps.

https://shop.azzaworld.com.au/collections/under-50/products/stamp-set-large-wrought-iron?_pos=3&_sid=ae1b06dd2&_ss=r

The pages below show the importance of decoration. Susan has used the Mauritius stencil to create this page.

On the pages above Susan used chalking as a background for her stamped image, she inked a decoration stencil and used a small piece of patterned paper. This is an older stamp but still available in the online shop. It is a great stamp for travel photos and fits in well with the Road Trip theme.

Do pop along to the shop and look at the specials available. Those advertised for the Online show will only be available until Sunday night when the will be show closed.

We have also placed some dies in the shop at greatly reduced prices. These are dies that were used together with some of the older AZZA large stamp sets. Some of these stamp sets are now no longer available on their own (some are still available in a set together with the dies). You may have the stamp set already so now would be the time to pick up a bargain and get the cutting dies to match.

Happy shopping and happy scrappin’

Beautiful layout by Isabelle using the PUNTA CANA stencil, ribbon, die cuts, stamps and transparent Resin dots.
