Celebrating Australia Day means we are well into the new year.

AZZA Australia is holding its annual January sale with lots of products across the range discounted. Now is the time to stock up on stencils, paper, inks and anything else you need to prepare you for the year of scrapping ahead.

I thought I would begin my blog showcasing products released towards the end of last year.

The AZZA stencil Auckland was released in November last year. This is such an easy stencil to work with and those that don’t like to crop their photos too much will love working with it. It works either way on the page easily, whether you have portrait or landscape photos. If you haven’t tried a double page, dip your toes in the water with this stencil. The double page below was the page highlighted at the AZZA Consultant conference last year. The layout below was created by Deb Byrne, AZZA consultant in Hobart.

Deb used the Woodland decoration products for her decorations.

Two layouts with a single photo, one portrait and one landscape, caught my eye and I thought I would share them with you. They were created by Joceleyne Heyne in Europe. I do love Joceleyne’s work.

The Gnome set of AZZA stamps were very popular and were perfect for this set of photos taken in Constance in Austria many years ago.

I coloured in the little gnomes to match the gnomes in the photos and created patterned paper stamping a sheet of AZZA patterned paper – Magic. I stamped two extra gnomes on white paper and coloured them in and placed them on top of two of the stamped images on the stamped patterned paper. This can be done with any of the AZZA stamps to create texture and a bit of fun on the page. The die I used was from the Ocean decoration product.

The Ocean decoration products were released at the end of last year, these products were used at the AZZA Retreat held in Europe. Ocean was an A4 stencil, but as we all know an A4 stencil can be used on any size scrapping page.

AZZA released a full set of A4 Album products – A4 Album covers and pre-punched pages.

This would make a great gift or an album for any special occasion. Anita Day, AZZA Consultant in Queensland created this beautiful album to present at the conference.

One photo, two photos, three or more can be used with the A4 Ocean stencil:

I have been tasked by my sister-in-law to create an album of her and her husband, one photo for each year of their marriage, so she can see them ‘growing old together’. A lovely idea, but as you can imagine some of the older photos are not that great. The AZZA layouts give them a lift and bring them into a modern setting without taking anything away from them. The layouts you will see over the coming months will all be on a 25 x 25 page, as using only one photo, mostly 10 x 15cm the 25 x 25 AZZA page is the perfect size. Above I used the AZZA Ocean stencil, Christmas papers from previous years and one of the newer label dies.
