Where did January go?

I can’t believe we are already half way through February.  Apologies for the late upload of New Products in February but I was back home in Zimbabwe celebrating my Mother-in-law’s 80th Birthday!

The next class in Turramurra is on Wednesday, next week, 24th February.  Please give me a ring if you would like to attend.  Class dates have been posted on the Calendar drop-down menu.

AZZA Pacific is pleased to announce that a new range has been introduced into the catalogue – cutting dies and embossing folders.  Most of the products are unique to AZZA, with a few from other suppliers.

By using embossing on papers on your page you enhance the texture but do not take the eye away from the photos.

Embossing

Embossing can also be highlighted with your chalks and inks.

New products-Feb2016

You will have seen embossing used on some of the ‘Galapagos’ pages I posted last time.

neige6

Deb Byrne our AZZA Consultant in Tasmania has sent me a few pages to share with you, they are beautiful.

Galapagos + dies

Deb has used the Galapagos stencil together with the ‘Wood’ and ‘Gum Leaves’ Embossing Dies.  She has chalked and inked her decorations.

This is the front page of a ‘pre-cut’ set of pages and Toronto stencil.

Note Deb’s use of the new AZZA embossing dies.

5

4

Second small page revealed, Deb has used the ‘School’ texture stencil to match the ‘Brick’ embossing die used on the back page.  She has also used the AZZA ‘Delicacies’ theme for decoration.

3

Note the little ‘Circle’ opened.

2

Deb has used two small circles in this set of pages, note she has sewn them onto the back page.

1

Note the use of the new AZZA dies on the back page.  The stamp Deb has used on the back of the second small page is from the Mandala set of stamps.

Thanks Deb for sharing these pages with us.

AZZA Tools Stencils ‘CIRCLES’

In January, AZZA brought out the Circles Tool Stencil (GAB 716 – $30.00) – a set of 3 Stencils with many different sizes of circle.  I have created a page to show you the advantage of this tool stencil.

Circlestool

GAB 716 – $30.00

This is the front page of a double-page set.  I have used the New Edition London-Rio stencil.

CCI18022016_2

This is the inside spread – using the same stencil.

This is what the original stencil look like on the page once I had completed placing my photographs.  It would not have been easy to Chalk this space without the use of the

AZZA Tools Stencils ‘CIRCLES’

IMG_3097

In order to achieve the fully chalked semi-circle above the larger photo I used the stencil in two places:  The larger circle, the size I wanted to chalk (chalking inward), then I used the smaller circle (3) to keep the clear edge around the smaller photo (chalking off the stencil – outward).  I also used re-positional tape above the semi-circular photo of the Protea to keep a clear edge.

IMG_3098

This allowed me to chalk the shape very easily.

IMG_3100

Now you have a ‘canvas’ on which to decorate.

To create my next chalked “shape” that I wanted:

IMG_3105

First I placed the size of circle I wanted on the page:

IMG_3101

Next, I needed to cover the three photos that were within the circle:

IMG_3103

AS you can see above, you just choose which ever size fits, tape it down and ‘VOILA’ you have just the shape you need to chalk.  Tooooooooo  easy Mate as the Aussies would say!!

IMG_3104

My page ready for decoration!!!!

Whilst working on these page I got into the Circle mode – I do love circles!!!

CCI25012016_2

This has become a favourite page – my Mum in Kirstenbosch in Cape Town.  I used Bilbao-Macau stencil and of course the Circles ‘tool’ stencil to complete the big circle shape.  I then carried the theme with smaller circles and the lovely compass stamp from AZZA Mini Stamps ‘Nautical’.  This stamp is so versatile.

Nautical

AZZA Mini Stamp ‘Nautical’ – $27.50

One more page, the new Galapagos stencil lends itself to the ‘Circle’ theme .

CCI25012016_3

In class last week, Liz created some lovely pages with flowers – don’t forget the beautiful ‘Chante’ Stencil – still one of my favourites!  Sadly, now discontinued.

IMG_3200

Flowers and Porto-Valparaiso.  Travelling all over the world in this blog, these are the tulips of Keukenhof, Holland.

IMG_3201

Lastly a bit of embossing with the new stencil Galapagos, sorry not an AZZA embossing stencil, but we are having fun with all the embossing stencils the Ladies have purchased over the years.  Get them out Ladies and give it a go on all your shaped paper pieces, it adds to the texture without taking your eye away from the photos.  Here we just GENTLY wiped the white ink stamp pad over the embossing to highlight it on the paper.  We found it easier to cut your shape first, then emboss.

IMG_3202

Well done Liz, great pages!

I always like to give you a simple page to create – using no stencil, but the AZZA way of scrapping.  Here Sabine Lebrun of Europe has inter-locked two photos and decorated her page with chalks and inks.  Note how they do not take away from the photos.  The little yacht is from the AZZA Nautical range.

4x4Sabine

And a few cards created by Celine Henchoz, of Europe using the AZZA stamp range:

CardsCelineHenchoz

The background on this card has been embossed with the new AZZA ‘Wood’ Embossing die.  Quick and easy to put together.

Tractors micro stamp

How cute is this – ‘Tractors’ Micro stamp – $12.00

CardCelineHenchozsquirrel

Celine’s second card – could be used for any occasion using the AZZA Micro ‘Squirrel’ stamp – $12.00.  She has also used a Pearl Maker

Squirrel micro stamp

AZZA Micro stamp ‘Squirrels’ – $12.00

Pen

Pearl Makers are available in many different colours – $10.50 each

March will bring with it a NEW CATALOGUE and TWO new Stencils – both look like the fun.  The one will be in a big ‘Celebration’ Set as AZZA is Celebrating it’s 15th Anniversary in Europe!!

Well that should give you all something to get your ‘creative juices’ going – happy stamping this weekend.

Many Photos to Scrap

With the festivities over, I am sure you all have a lot of photos to scrap.  Happy snaps of family and friends together over the festive season, or away on holiday, that you will all look back on over the years.

I have found some double page layouts to show you – so you can get many more photos onto one set of pages, create a small ‘story’ within the set of pages.

The first set of pages is by Scrap de Rosetta using the new Galapagos stencil.  She has two  flaps, one opening to the right and one to the left.  She has done this by using a double page (Mid-grey) and a single page (Azure blue).  She has also used the lovely little stamp set that came with the Christmas Scrap n Moi Magazine.  Other decorations come from our latest decoration Theme ‘Christmas On Ice’.

neige1

She has used the Mid Grey double page so this is the side that has been cut and will flap  open to the right. The blue single page is placed ‘inside’ the double mid-grey page.  Below:  the back of the Mid-grey flap.

neige3

Here she has inserted an Azure Blue page and cut it to the same shape – this will flap open to the left.

neige4

neige7

Above, the back of the blue page.

Below the full back page of the double page.

neige8

Scrap en Chartreuse has used an  amethyst Accordion page on her page.  I love these pages, they are easy to use and add so many more photos to your ‘Story on one page’!  They can be used either way depending one whether you have portrait or landscape photos.  She has used the new Galapagos stencil.

Galapagos1

Galapagos3Accordion

Accordion sheet open to the left and below to the right.

Galapagos2

The double page below was created by Sylvie Faurre, Scrapngo.net.  Wonderful – using the Rome-Tokyo stencil and our Field Flowers Theme Kit for decoration.  Note the string around the frame with the dots using the pearl makers, a simple decoration but very effective.

RometokyosylvieFaurre

SylvieFaurreinside

Next a lovely page with a smaller Title page from our Porto-Valparaiso stencil by Mimouscrap.  She has used the small Mandala stamp for decoration but note her attention to detail on the stamp.  By adding colour to her stamp it brings it to life.

PortovalMimouscrap

The back side of the Title page – pre-cut page for Porto-Valparaiso stencil.

Portoval2

Portoval3

Just to show you how different the same pages can look – the set of pages below are by Sabrina, Du scrap chez les cigales, Europe.

Portotitlepage

For those of you with the older stencils Paris-Istanbul and Hawaii – here is a double page using both!  Mmmmm a lot of cutting but lovely result.  The page is by Anne – Fait du scrap, Europe.

Faitduscrap2

This double page is by Be Creativa, Europe, a lovely page and the colours are perfect.  Although she has not used many photos, I love the layout and decorations.  She has used the new Texture stencil ‘Christmas on Ice’.

The little decorations are great.  Unfortunately the little Hippo lace decorations can only be purchased with an AZZA Kidz set.  For her tree she has used the tree in the Japanese Spring Theme Kit. (Adjusted for Africa!!)

This last double layout is a sight to behold!!!  It took me a while to work it out, but I would love to try it.  Below is the front of the folded page.

Foldingfront page

Below is the page opened up ……

The link below will take you to her website and there is a little video to show you how she did it!!  I have managed to post it to my Facebook Page too.  Enjoy.

I will sign off with two beautiful pages using the Galapagos stencil :

The first by Nathalie Macioszek:

Nathalie Macioszek Galapagos

For decoration she has used a new feather stamp which has just been released in Australia.

Feathers‘Feathers 2’ AZZA Stamp Set

The second page by Sabine Lebrun.  Sabine has used the AZZA ‘Birth’ Theme for decoration.

Galapagossabine_o

Classes in Turramurra will begin in February, I will be holding a Wednesday and Friday class each month.  Please check the ‘Calendar’ for dates on the drop-down menu.

If you have a group of friends that get together and scrap you can give me a ring and I would be happy to come on over to you!

Having had a quiet Christmas I was able to scrap my holiday to Cape Town, here are a few of the pages with Christmas colours:

CCI23122015_21

Created using the AZZA Mauritius stencil, AZZA Sands and the AZZA Field Flower collection – using both the decoration stencil and the lace figurine.  The circle I punched out of the red paper I cut in half and used as decoration.

…. and on top of the world …..  Table Mountain

CCI23122015_8

This page was created using the Toronto stencil and the texture stencil Winter Pleasure GAB 233.

CCI23122015_4

Created using Porto-Valparasio stencil and stamps from both the ‘Nautical’ Mini stamp set and the ‘On the Road’ large stamp set.

CCI23122015_13

As I had so many photos from on top of the mountain I decided to use a double page – Stencil Mauritius and decoration with AZZA punches and the new Alphabet stencil ‘Sue’.

Still in Africa I am sure:  Below, a beautiful page by Sigiscrap in Europe, I just love the colour tones on this page.  She has used Toronto stencil and the decoration stencil from the Mandala range and a wooden circle.  I love how the piece of string around the frame picks up the darker colours in the photos.

Sigiscrap.jpg

Be Creativa has created this amazing page with the new Galapagos stencil and decorations using the stamps from the Mandala range.  The simple piece of tied string in the centre of a punched circle is so effective!

GalapagosBeCreativaf

To end off, a few pages created with the new Galapagos stencil by the Ladies in Europe:

December is upon us

In addition to our Christmas Catalogue we have some new products released in December in Australia: (Click on the link below to view)

New productsDecember2015

The special Edition Scrap & Moi does not come as part of your subscription, it is a Christmas special edition.  It has some lovely layouts covering many of the AZZA stencils.

Christmasboxlaterlierdeline

Here is a sample of the lovely little AZZA gift box decorated with the Mandala stamps.  Made by Nathalie Macioszek, Europe.

Nathalie also created this beautiful card using the ‘Christmas on Ice’ theme pack and the ‘Christmas on Ice’ texture stencil.

NathalieCard

The Christmas decorations below were also created by Nathalie, what a fun project to do with you kids or Grandchildren before Christmas.

Nathalie Macioszek Boules Noël

Circleschristmascard

A beautiful Christmas card using the AZZA Deco Box ‘Round’ – $8.00 for two boxes.  The boxes come in a few different shapes.  Created by AZZA Europe, the box has been decorated and the stamp is from the AZZA ‘Trees’ stamp set TAM 464.  They have filled the box with  lovely winter snowflakes.

I just love the set of stamps that came with the AZZA Recipe kit.

Recipestamp

TAM 0007 – $33.50

These stamps are great to use on both Scrap-booking pages and cards.  We all have pages with photos of food – come along to class and try them out.

Recipepagedecoretmoi

Recipecard

How cute is he!

Also created with the ‘Christmas on Ice’ Theme kit, using the Maldives stencil, this beautiful page by Les Scraps d’Yvette, Europe.  She has used the accordion page so extra photos can be placed on the layout.

Christmasmamyveteea

This is the page with the accordion page closed – her decorations are beautiful.

Christmasmammyyvette3

ChristmasMammyvette2

These accordion pages are available in a number of colours and are only $7.00 each.  They can be used either way depending whether you have portrait or landscape photos.

I thought I would spend a bit of time showing you some ideas for decorations and the use of circles.

Circlesbecreativa

Page by Be Creativa, Europe using the Bilbao-Macau stencil.  These circles within the layout lend themselves to journalling and/or decoration.

CirclesBecreativa2

Here she has used the circle for a title and decoration using the Summer Cocktail theme kit.  Note the little glass is in 3D.  She has chalked the circle before placing the decoration and title on the page giving it nice definition.

CirclesFloscrap

This lovely page by Floscrap, Europe.  She has used punched circles on the page with a bit of raffia on one side.  This can also be done using the AZZA wooden circles. Note the delicate chalking inside the wooden circles.  The smaller circles have a heavier centre, this could be done with velvet powders, sand or paper.  This page was created using the AZZA interlocking method and can be done without using a stencil.

CirclesScrapngo

Circles have been used to highlight the decoration on this lovely page by Scrapngo, Europe.  She has punched a circle out of a square of paper, once again this page has been created without a stencil but using the AZZA interlocking method.

CCI08072015_2

I have used the same idea on my page above created using the Mauritius stencil.  The little yacht is popping out of a circle punched through the light blue paper.

Circlefloscrap95

Remember your punched circles can be cut in half – I love this Title page by Floscrap, Europe.  She has used the Japanese Spring Theme kit for the decorations.  Note she has inked around the edges of the circle and semi circles.

Circlesfloscraphalf

Another lovely page by Floscrap using circles both whole and cut in half.  She has used a texture stamp on the semi circles.  Again a page created using the inter-locking method without using a stencil.  The texture on the vertical pieces of paper was created using one of the AZZA Embossing stencils.

SofiaLimeIngridscrap

This page by Ingrid in Europe once again shows how one circle cut in half and slightly off-set can create a lovely background for ‘decoration’.  This decoration has been raised so is in 3D in front of the circles.

DecorationIngrid

Porto-Valparaiso stencil is also a great stencil to include decoration into the layout.

SabinePorto

I know I have posted this layout of Sabine’s before, but take a look at her decoration in the bottom circle.  Look carefully and you will see it is decoration, not a photo   …..  connecting the two photos and using the delightful little AZZA seagulls!

Circlesscrapbookmili

This page by ScrapbookMili, Europe   She has used circles stamped with a texture stamp as a background on the paper circles for the starfish decorations.

CriCriJollePorto

A striking page by Crimalou, Les pages de Cricri Jolie, Europe using Porto-Valparaiso.  I love the way she has decorated her little semi circle.

CircelsJoselou

Joselou, Europe created this fun page using only one photo.  Circles, circles and then some.  She has used the little AZZA Elves stamps and has embossed the paper used on the page.  I love this page, it is FUN on a page!

CirclesNathalie Macioszek (13)

Another of Nathalie Macioszek’s pages using Bahamas stencil with a cut circle used as a background for decoration.  Note how she has chalked the circle.  A lovely page.

CirclesSulvieFaurre

Here Sylvie Faurre, Europe has used little circles with the Fiji stencil.  The circles go well with the Fiji shape and she has used them to highlight her decorations.  Using the Couture Theme Kit for decorations on this page Sylvie has used the Texture stamp on the circles before mounting her little decorations on them.  The tree is from the AZZA Tree stamp range. A beautiful page, lovely chalking too.

Lastly I saw this wonderful idea for those of us that LOVE photos and layouts – but I think you do need a ‘special’ wall!  Christmas project anyone???

Family-Clock

Well, that should leave you with some thoughts for decoration on your unfinished pages or those you are about to create!

Happy Scrappin’

Lyn

This was created using the Seychelles stencil, circle punches and a Doily.

There is only one class left for the year:

Wednesday, 2nd December.  I still have a few places, please book if you would like to come along.

Here are just a few Christmas pages to get you going, I am sure you will all have lots of ‘Christmas Day’ photos to be scrapped in the new year.

Onephotosabinelebrun

This single photo page by Sabine Lebrun is beautiful.  Sabine has used a little cut-out from the same silhouette figure used in the cards above and the decoration below the photo is a ‘Christmas Ball’ PAP 558 approximately 10.5cm square – $8.50.

TwophotosAZZAWorld0

This Christmas page was created using the Caribbean Stencil.  I love the simple decoration used to finish off the page.

ThreeChristianeClaessens

This Christmas page was created by Christiane Claessons using London-Rio stencil.  For decorations she has used the Forest stamp, unfortunately the little ‘Ball’ figurines are no longer available.  How cute!!!

Fourphotosannabellescrapf

From 4 to 9 photos!!!!!!  This is going back to basics,  just using the classic AZZA Circles and the interlocking method.

9photosscrapamities

The 9 photos are on a double page.  I do like her decoration –  lines and circles, so easily done.   These pages were created by Annabellescrap – Europe.

To end with …. a few pages with the new Toronto stencil:

Onephotoazzaworld

A beautiful page I found on the European AZZA site using the new template and stamp set.

Reine-Marie

Page by Scrap Reine-Marie using the new stencil and Mandela stamp set.

torontomimouscrap

Page by Mimouscrap with some embossing and lovely little leaf lace figurines.

November – New products

Hi Ladies

Christmas is around the corner, with November comes our ‘New Products’ release.

New productsNovember2015

We have a new FOCUS, Theme Kit and Stencil – this will be the last big release of the year.  All these products you will love, they are all so timeless and can be used on pages with any theme.  A must for your AZZA Collection!

Firstly:  The stencil – TORONTO

TorontoStencil

This stencil has been brought out in a new style.  One stencil and one stencil ‘tool’.  The three ‘pop-out’ pieces allow you to create long lines of chalking, inking or pencil line on your page without the vertical lines of the actual stencil getting in the way.  Come along to a workshop and see how EASY it is to use.  The layout below by Anita shows the lovely long line of inking on the page which was created by using the new idea.

At the AZZA Seminar all the Consultants were given Toronto and the same photos to work with … take a look at how different all the pages looked.

The new FOCUS Kit is ‘Leaves’.  These pages are smaller than our Concentric pages released earlier in the year and have a ‘Circle/Oval’ that fits at the end of them.  This little circle fits with the Toronto stencil so can be used on a page on its own too.

Here is a sample I created using the new AZZA Toronto stencil and the new Theme Kit Mandala decorations.

The circle/oval open.

Lastly a page I have created using the new Toronto stencil.  I have coloured and embossed the Figurines.

Scan 3

A tip we all were given by Anita at ACR – Note the three ‘Dots’ on the right-hand side of the page …… these are the centres of the perforations on the left-hand side of all pages – the holes to go into the Albums.  All pages have these – keep them and use them on your pages as the colour tones will match.  Dots and dashes are used often for decorations, if you have used a different colour paper on your page, these circles on the paper, will match the colour of your page perfectly!

The micro stamp Mandala I think is a MUST for you all – used here by Christine Caparros on her page – it is only $12.00 and I think it is a classic.

Christine Caparros_o

Christine has used the stencil Porto-Valparasio and her decorations are from the new Mandala stamp range.

Mandala7

A beautiful page I found on Pinterest created with the new Toronto stencil, sorry don’t know who created it, but they have used the Micro stamp and the little figurines that come with the Studio Kit called Lace Doilies. They have used one cut in half.

Don’t just think green ladies ………  it can be done in BLUES!

BlueLeavesValerieRots

Lovely page by Valerie Rots using the new Mandala Theme Decorations.

And guess what …………. it can even be used with Giraffes!!

Mandala2a

Created by AZZA, Europe. The Title has been created with the new Alphabet stencil ‘Sue’

A lot of new product to play with as you create your Christmas cards, presents or continue getting all your 2015 photos into an album before 2016!!!

Happy Scrappin’
